Meet the Founder
Founded by Rebecca Victoria Meza, a southern California native born in Salinas, CA. Rebecca received her early education in El Centro, CA graduating from Southwest High School. She moved out of her small town in pursuit of big dreams and received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Spanish from California State University, Fullerton.
Her professional experience began with the Torrid national retail brand, a division of Hot Topic, Inc. within their marketing/public relations department. Notable achievements in this role include serving as editor and chief of the internal company newsletter for Torrid, leading the Hispanic Public Relations efforts for Torrid and successfully executing various events for the Torrid brand. After attaining much public relations, marketing, corporate communications and event experience within the fashion retail sector, her next professional chapter took her into the global higher education field. While working in the Strategic and Global Initiatives office of the University of Southern California, she managed the international communication strategy for the University of Southern California in collaboration with the 18 professional school units of USC and the 8 international offices of USC. Notable event experience during this role included the biennial USC global conference held in Seoul, South Korea (’13) and Shanghai, China (’15).
Rebecca holds a master’s degree in Communication Management (M.C.M) from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
